We've seen flagships like the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 get updated to Oreo in recent weeks, and now it's time for an LG flagship to get the same treat.
The LG V30 is now receiving its Android 8.0 Oreo update. Specifically, it's the AT&T model that's being updated.
V30 owners that've gotten the 1.8GB update say that it includes Android 8.0 Oreo, the March 2018 Android security patches, and AI camera features found on LG's V30S ThinQ. For example, the AI Cam feature uses machine learning to recognize what your camera is being pointed at and show keywords on-screen. You can then use those keywords to make sure that the camera's settings are set up for whatever you're photographing to help you get a better picture.
It's good to see another Android phone get its update to Oreo, and LG V30 owners will have even more new goodies to look forward to since they're getting some new ThinQ camera features. If you've got an LG V30 on AT&T and you haven't gotten your Oreo update yet, you can check for it manually by going into Settings > General tab > About phone > Software Update > Update now.
