Unicode 11.0 has been set, and it's bringing with it 157 new emoji.
The new emoji coming with Unicode 11.0 includes animals, people, food, and more. For example, there will now be lobster and kangaroo emojis, a pirate flag, and a softball. People will now be able to have red hair and there are both male and female superheroes and super villains.
The full release of Unicode 11.0 is scheduled for June 2018. As for when you'll begin seeing these new emoji on your phone, they're expected to begin appearing on mobile devices in August or September.
Emoji are a popular way to express yourself, letting you say something quickly and with more fun than regular text. These new emoji will give you even more ways to express yourself in texts, tweets, emails, and more, and I'm sure that a lot of people will be looking forward to their release later this year.
