Days after Samsung officially confirmed the date of its Galaxy S9 launch event, images of the S9 and its bigger S9+ sibling have leaked.
New images of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ have been shared by VentureBeat. As expected, the devices look largely similar to last year's Galaxy S8 and S8+, boasting 18:9 displays with very slim bezels. The screens will measure in at 5.8 inches and 6.2 inches for the S9 and S9+, respectively.
No renders of the back of the Galaxy S9 have leaked, but this report does say that Samsung has placed the fingerprint reader below the rear camera on the S9 and S9+. That's a change from the S8 and S8+, which had their fingerprint readers to the right of their rear cameras.
When it comes to specs, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are expected to include Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 in the US and China and Samsung's own Exynos 9810 in most other parts of the globe. Samsung is reportedly going to differentiate the specs between the S9 and S9+ more than it did with the S8 and S8+, as it's rumored that the Galaxy S9 will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage while the Galaxy S9+ will be equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Another notable difference that'll reportedly separate the GS9 and GS9+ are their cameras. While the S9 is said to have a single rear 12-megapixel camera, the S9+ will allegedly have two rear 12-megapixel cameras. The primary 12-megapixel camera on both phones is expected to offer super slow motion video capture as well as a variable aperture that can change between f/2.4 and f/1.5.
Samsung is holding its Galaxy S9 event on February 25, and the S9 and S9+ will reportedly go on sale March 16.
