Instagram's list of features is growing once again.
Instagram now offers GIF stickers in its stories. When you tap on a photo or video story to add a sticker, a new GIF option will be available. This will enable you to add GIF stickers using GIPHY, which offers hundreds of thousands of GIFs.
You can see which GIFs are trending on GIPHY to use something that's popular right now, or you can enter some words to search for something specific.
GIFs are very popular right now, so adding support for GIF stickers in stories seems like a smart move for Instagram. GIF stickers are available today in version 29 of Instagram for Android and iPhone.
Instagram also said today that it's planning to add the ability to upload photos and videos of any size to your story. This means that you'll be able to include photos and videos without having to cut off part of the content.
When you upload a photo or video, you'll be able to pinch to share it in its original dimensions, no matter what size it is. The extra space will be filled with a custom color gradient that'll match the image or video you've shared.
The ability to upload photos and videos of any size will be available in the coming weeks.
