Google teased more than six months ago that it'd be teaming up with Lenovo to create a standalone Daydream virtual reality headset, and today that device has been revealed.

The Lenovo Mirage Solo will let you experience Google's Daydream virtual reality platform without a compatible Android phone. The device includes a Snapdragon 835 processor and 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, and a 110-degree field of view.

Lenovo has also crammed a 4,000mAh battery inside the Mirage Solo that it says will give you seven hours of gameplay or video viewing. There's a Daydream controller included with the device, too.

The Mirage Solo will launch in Q2 2018 at a price below $400.

After the news that HTC would no longer be creating a standalone Google Daydream VR headset, it's good to see the Lenovo model finally revealed. While it's not exactly cheap, the Lenovo Mirage Solo does offer a mobile VR experience without the need to buy a new Android phone. While the number of Daydream-compatible phones has grown recently, there are still lots of phones out there that don't support it, and the Mirage Solo enables those people to give mobile VR a go without having to buy both a new phone and a VR headset.

Also announced today is the Lenovo Mirage Camera, a VR180 camera that'll let you capture VR images and videos. You'll be able to easily share those images and videos thanks to integration with YouTube and Google Photos. The Mirage Camera will launch later this year for under $400.
