Over the holidays, OnePlus gave a nice gift to OnePlus 5 owners in the form of an Android Oreo update. Now it looks like OnePlus is taking the gift back, though.
OnePlus has announced that it's "temporarily delayed" the rollout of OxygenOS 5.0 for the OnePlus 5. The only explanation given for the delay is that OnePlus wants to "improve the user experience".
There's no word on when the OxygenOS 5.0 update for the OnePlus 5 may resume.
OnePlus typically rolls its updates out in stages, but it's likely that at least some OnePlus 5 owners already got the update. Hopefully whatever caused OnePlus to pause this update doesn't end up causing any problems for those OP5 folks that are already on Oreo.
