A few weeks after the unlocked HTC U11 Life got its Android 8.0 Oreo update, it's time for the T-Mobile version to get updated, too.
HTC has announced that the Android Oreo update is now available for the T-Mobile version of the HTC U11 Life. This is a "big update," cautions HTC, so you'll need to be on Wi-Fi to download it.

T-Mobile hasn't posted info about the update on its HTC U11 Life support page, so there's no other info available for this particular update.
The update to Android 8.0 Oreo does bring several new features and other improvements. Background limits will minimize background activity on apps that you use least, which should help to improve battery life, while autofill will remember your logins to speed up the time it takes to get into apps. There's also a picture-in-picture mode that'll let you watch video from one app while performing tasks in a different app.
There aren't a ton of Android phones running Oreo quite yet, so it's good to see the update continue to roll out to new devices. If you've got the ΩT-Mobile version of the HTC U11 Life, keep an eye out for your update over the coming days.
