Just like it did last year, Pokémon Go is celebrating Halloween with a ghostly in-game event.
Starting October 20th at 12:00 pm PDT, Pokémon Go’s new Halloween event will kick off. You’ll see ghost monsters like Gastly, Drowzee, and Cubone as well as new Pokémon from the Ruby and Sapphire games. These new monsters include Sableye, Banette, and “a few other Ghost-type Pokémon”.
Niantic says that the rest of the Pokémon first found in the Ruby and Sapphire games will gradually arrive starting in December.
Also part of this Halloween in-game event is a special Pikachu wearing a witch hat, a Mimikyu Disguise Hat for your avatar, and Candy bonuses. These include double Candy for catching, hatching, and transferring Pokémon as well as your Buddy Pokémon finding Candy twice as fast.
This Pokémon Go event will run from October 20th at 12:00 pm PDT to November 2nd at 1:00 pm PDT.
