Last month, we got an early peek at the back panel of the BlackBerry Krypton, an upcoming full-touch BlackBerry smartphone. Now the Krypton is back with a new name and a much clearer image leak.
The Krypton will be known as the BlackBerry Motion, says @evleaks, who also shared a clear image of the device’s face. In it, we can see a full-touch smartphone with a BlackBerry-branded fingerprint reader below the display, USB-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Goodbye, Krypton.

Previous rumors have suggested that the BlackBerry Motion could feature a 1920x1080 display, Snapdragon 625 or 626 processor, 4GB of RAM, and IP67 water and dust resistance.
Like the BlackBerry KEYone, the BlackBerry Motion is expected to be a TCL-manufactured device with BlackBerry branding. Now that the BlackBerry KEYone has been on the market for awhile, it’s good to see TCL and BlackBerry prepping a full-touch option for BlackBerry fans that don’t need a hardware keyboard. Now we just have to wait for TCL to announce the thing so we can get its full feature set and try one for ourselves.
