T-Mobile is launching a new rate plan this week.
Starting August 9th, T-Mobile One Unlimited 55+ will be available to customers age 55 and up. The plan includes unlimited talk, text, and 4G LTE data for $60 per month. That price includes $50 for the first line, $10 for the second line, and a $5 per line Autopay discount.
Customers that sign up for the T-Mobile One Unlimited 55+ plan will get many of the same benefits as folks on the standard T-Mobile One plan. That includes Simple Global for unlimited text, 128Kbps data roaming, and low-rate calling in more than 140 countries; Mobile Without Borders for using your plan in Canada and Mexico; unlimited texting and 1 hour of smartphone Wi-Fi with Gogo inflight Wi-Fi; Digits; and mobile hotspot at 3G speeds. Unlimited 55+ customers also get the weekly gifts that come with T-Mobile Tuesdays.
T-Mobile One Unlimited 55+ is also similar to T-Mobile One in that Unlimited 55+ customers stream video at 480p and get mobile hotspot at 3G speeds. Unlimited 55+ subscribers can add T-Mobile One Plus to get features like unlimited HD video streaming and 10GB of 4G LTE mobile hotspot for $10 per month per line, or they can add T-Mobile One Plus International to get unlimited international calling and unlimited 4G LTE mobile hotspot for $25 per month per line.
The final detail worth noting with Unlimited 55+ is that there’s a limit of two voice lines per plan.
Considering that the standard T-Mobile One plan costs $100 per month with two lines, this new Unlimited 55+ plan is a pretty solid deal for those that qualify. If that’s you, then you can visit at T-Mobile store, go online, or call customer support starting August 9th to enroll in T-Mobile One Unlimited 55+.
