The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is set to debut on August 23rd, but the rumor mill may have given us a glimpse at the upcoming flagship early.
A new set of renders that claim to show the Galaxy Note 8 have made their way online. These aren’t official images created by Samsung, but are mockups from a case maker that are allegedly based on genuine factory schematics.
Looking at the design itself, it looks a bit like a mashup of the Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy S8. It's got the boxiness of a Note 7, and we can see an Infinity Display screen similar to the Galaxy S8’s, complete with slim bezels. The lack of a home button suggests that the Note 8 will also feature on-screen navigation keys. The bottom of the phone is home to the S Pen, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Around on the back of the phone there’s a dual camera setup, which is rumored to be one of the Note 8’s new features. Next to the cameras is the flash, and then to the right of that is the fingerprint reader, just like the Galaxy S8.
While these renders aren’t official, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the real Galaxy Note 8 launch with a design similar to this. We’ve seen Galaxy S and Galaxy Note flagships share designs in the past, and this year the Galaxy S8 got a new look that’s gotten praise and is one that Samsung is probably proud of.
