It’s a new month, which means that it’s time for some new Android security updates.
Google today posted its May 2017 security bulletin, which details the vulnerabilities that’ve been patched in its latest security update. The company also posted May 2017 factory images and OTAs of the updates that’ll be released to Nexus and Pixel in the coming days, complete with the May 2017 security patches in tow.
There are updates available for the Pixel XL, Pixel, Pixel C, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus Player, Nexus 9 (LTE), and Nexus 9 (Wi-Fi). If you aren't comfortable with sideloading either the factory image or the OTA file onto your device, the update should be pushed to you in the next week or so.
