So far this month, we’ve seen leaked images of the Moto Z2 and Moto Z2 Force, and today we’re rounding out the trio of new Z phones with a Moto Z2 Play leak.
Images that purportedly show the Moto Z2 Play have been shared by TechnoBuffalo. The device largely looks the same as the Moto Z2 and Moto Z2 Force, complete with a front-facing camera flash, pill-shaped fingerprint reader, and connector pins for Moto Mods, but there are a couple of small changes that are worth noting.
The first is that while the Moto Z2 and Moto Z2 Force had dual rear camera setups, the Moto Z2 Play appears to have just one rear camera sensor. Also of note is that while the Z2 Play also includes a front-facing camera flash, it’s in a different position than on the Z2 and Z2 Force.
The spec details for the Moto Z2 Play aren’t yet known, but the original Z Play was more of a mid-range device than the Z and Z Force. It featured a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display, 16-megapixel rear camera, 3GB of RAM, and a Snapdragon 625 processor. One of its highlight features was its large 3510mAh battery, so here’s to hoping that the Moto Z2 Play has a similarly large battery inside of its body.
