HTC’s got something to show us next week.
HTC Taiwan took to its Facebook page today to tease…something that’s coming on March 20. The teaser includes an image that reads “Spring is coming” (March 20 is the first day of spring) as well as the phrase “HTC will give you an unexpected surprise” according to Google Translate.
So what’s HTC got planned? There’s been some speculation that the HTC 11 could be revealed on March 20, but that seems unlikely. Not only have there been no leaks to suggest that that’s the case, but if the HTC 11 were the device that’s due on March 20, it feels like HTC would be hyping this announcement up much more than just with a teaser image on its HTC Taiwan Facebook page. For example, the worldwide HTC Twitter and Facebook pages have said nothing about this March 20 news.
One HTC device that has leaked recently is the One X10, a mid-range handset that’s rumored to include a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display, 16.3-megapixel camera, 3GB of RAM, and a MediaTek MT6755V/C processor. That device has appeared in a few leaked shots this year but hasn’t yet been made official, and so it seems a more likely candidate for this mystery March 20 announcement.
