Smartphones with dual rear cameras are all the rage now, with companies like Apple, LG, Huawei, and others all launching new handsets with two rear-facing cameras. Oppo has revealed that it’s going to take part in the dual camera trend, too, but it’s going to change things up a bit.
On March 23, Oppo will introduce the F3 Plus, a smartphone with dual front-facing cameras. One of those front cameras will be a 16-megapixel “main” camera, says Mashable, while the secondary front camera will be an 8-megapixel “sub” camera. Little else is known about the device right now.
Selfies are big right now, so it’s no surprise to see a smartphone maker capitalizing on that. We’ll have to wait until March 23 to see what kind of tricks Oppo has up its sleeve for the F3 Plus and its dual front cameras, but judging by the teaser image that has been sent out, it looks like one could have a wide angle lens to help you get more friends into a selfie.
