Samsung Galaxy S8+ spec list revealed in new leak

We've seen some high profile leaks today, and now we’ve got one more to add to the list.

The specs of the Samsung Galaxy S8+ have leaked out. Shared by Evan Blass, the list reveals almost every feature of the GS8+, which is rumored to be the larger of the two S8 phones.

According to the leak, the Galaxy S8+ will have a 6.2-inch display, but it’ll measure 6.1 inches when you factor in the rounded corners. This Super AMOLED panel will feature a resolution of Quad HD+, suggesting that the GS8+ will have a taller 18:9-ish display like the one that’s coming with the LG G6.

We’re also being told to expect a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, 64GB of storage, a microSD slot, 4GB of RAM, wireless charging, an iris scanner, and Samsung Pay support. All of these features are rumored to be packed into a body that’s IP68-rated for water and dust resistance.

Finally, the GS8+ is coming with Android (likely Nougat), 4G LTE support, earphones that’ve been tuned by AKG.

These leaked specs line up with the ones that we’ve heard about the Galaxy S8+ in the past, and they’re about what you’d expect from an Android flagship in 2017. What will be interesting is seeing how much Samsung is able to slim down the bezels of this GS8+ so that it doesn’t feel huge with its 6.2-inch screen. Moving the fingerprint reader to the back of the phone will certainly help, but we’ll have to wait until the GS8 and GS8+ are official before we’ll actually get to handle these new phones for ourselves.
