Today a new leak has surfaced that claims to give us another look at the Samsung Galaxy S8.
New images posted to Twitter allegedly show what looks to be a Galaxy S8. Just as previous rumors suggested, the device has no physical or capacitive navigation buttons, opting instead for on-screen buttons.
While the Galaxy S8 may not use physical or capacitive buttons like past Galaxy S flagships, the GS8 buttons may have one thing in common with those found on past models. That is that the back button is on the right side of the trio of navigation buttons, whereas on most other Android phones, it’s on the left. That means that the recent apps button would be on the left side and the home button would be in the center.
We’ll have to wait for Samsung to officially launch the Galaxy S8 before we get to see its on-screen buttons in action, but the image making the rounds today could at least give us an idea of what the phone’s on-screen keys may look like. All of Samsung’s previous flagships have used a physical home button with capacitive keys on either side, so the inclusion of on-screen buttons on the Galaxy S8 would be a big change for Samsung.
