Mobile reporter Evan Blass earlier tweeted a photo of a branding logo that sported the same font, logo and colors Samsung used on the Note 7. Only this time, the leaked image showed the words "Samsung Galaxy S8+". If anything, the tweet leaked information of a larger Galaxy S8 model which Samsung could name as the S8+. The "+" branding is very important here since Apple uses the "Plus" word for its iPhone devices.
But despite this leaked image of the Galaxy S8+'s branding, Samsung has not announced anything official about the device. So far, all we know (based on the rumors) is that there could be a Galaxy S8 with a 5.7-inch screen and a larger 6-inch screen for the Galaxy S8+. There are also reports indicating that Samsung could be moving the home button from the front to the back of the device, just like what Huawei did on the P9 model. Both devices are also rumored to run on Snapdragon 835 processors with 8GB of RAM. With all the rave about dual-cameras, we might also expect to see these included on Samsung's upcoming devices this year.
As for the battery-size, there are rumors circulating that Samsung could be including a 3,000 mAh battery on the Galaxy S8 and a larger 3,500 mAh battery on the S8+; a battery similar to the ill-fated Note 7. Prior to this report, there were reports that said Samsung will be including a voice-powered virtual assistant called Bixby. When it launches, it will be the next competitor of Google Now and Apple's Siri.
Again, these are all speculation and rumors. Nothing has been officially announced by Samsung. We'll know the real score behind the Galaxy S8 and S8+ when it launches. If the rumors are true, the two devices could be announced at an NYC event to be held on March 29th.
