LG regularly reveals features of its upcoming flagship smartphones in the weeks before their release, and it looks like the same thing is happening with the G6.
The official LG Mobile Global channel on YouTube today posted a brief video titled “Wish list for the ideal smartphone.” In it, people name several features that they’d like to see in a smartphone, like a big screen, a smaller body for one-hand use, and waterproofing.
In the caption for the video, LG says “Your wishes for the ideal smartphone will come to life. Stay tuned for its arrival in February 2017.” It's been suggested that the G6 could be officially announced at MWC at the end of February.
While the G6 isn’t specifically named in this video, it’s a likely candidate to include these features. We already know that the LG G6 will offer a 5.7-inch 18:9 display, which would take care of the “big screen” feature of this teaser video, and LG could use a combination of that tall display and slim bezels to make using the G6 (or at least typing on it) easier to do with one hand.
Waterproofing is also a feature that many expect in new flagship phones, and late last year, LG launched the V34 with IP67 water resistance, so that’s a feature that could also make its way into the G6.
