The LG G6 may not feature a modular design like its predecessor, but that doesn’t mean that it won’t have any interesting features to offer.
LG Display has revealed that it’s prepping a 5.7-inch Quad HD+ LCD display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 2880x1440. The display will be included with the LG G6, LG Electronics has said, which is expected to debut as early as February.
Many smartphones released nowadays feature a 16:9 aspect ratio, so the 18:9 display of the LG G6 will stand out from the competition. It remains to be seen how LG will take advantage of that taller display, but LG has said that it’s focusing on usability as one of the main features of the G6, so the company could be cooking up some new features that take advantage of the 18:9 screen to make it easier to get things done.
