Apple regularly offers SIM-free versions of its new iPhones weeks after their initial launch, and that’s the case with this year’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, too.
Apple is now selling SIM-free versions of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus on its website. These versions come unlocked and are compatible with all carriers, so you can use them with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, or Verizon in the US.
Pricing for the SIM-free iPhone 7 is set at $649 for 32GB, $749 for 128GB, and $849 for 256GB. Meanwhile, the iPhone 7 Plus is priced at $769 for 32GB, $869 for 32GB, and $969 for 256GB.
When it comes to shipping, the Silver, Black, Gold, and Rose Gold iPhone 7 models will be delivered between October 17 and 19, while the Jet Black model will ship in 3 to 5 weeks. The iPhone 7 Plus in Silver, Black, Gold, and Rose Gold will ship in 3 to 4 weeks, while the Jet Black version won’t ship for another 6-8 weeks.
The SIM-free iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus come without any carrier activation or commitment, so they’re attractive to folks that want total freedom when it comes to choosing their wireless carrier. The trade-off is that the SIM-free iPhones must be bought at full price.
