Right on schedule, iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Series 2 pre-orders have begun.
Apple is now accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, as are the major U.S. carriers. While both phones will launch on Sept. 16, many models are already backordered. Some are just backordered a week or two, but some models are now backordered to November, like the Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus.
So far, iPhone 7 pre-orders seem to be a mixed bag. Some folks are saying that they’ve pre-ordered a new phone with little to no issue, while others are encountering busy customer service reps over the phone or issues with authentication online.
Apple also began taking pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 2 today. Like the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, some models are already backordered past the watch’s Sept. 16 launch date. Most models, like the 42mm silver aluminum Apple Watch, are only backordered a week or so. However, the 42mm Apple Watch Edition - White Ceramic is backordered five to seven weeks.
Did you pre-order an iPhone 7 or Apple Watch Series 2? If so, how did the process go for you?
