OnePlus X gets Android 6.0.1 with OxygenOS 3.1.0 community build

If you’re a OnePlus X owner that’s hungry for some Marshmallow, OnePlus has some good news for you.

OnePlus today rolled out a new community build of OxygenOS for the OnePlus X, and included is Android 6.0.1. An update to Marshmallow brings with it new features like Google Now on Tap and Doze battery optimizations, among others.

There are quite a few others goodies packed inside this update, too. That includes new icon packs and a new wallpaper picker for the launcher, general performance improvements, new Alert Slider settings with more customization options, and the August 1 security patches for Android. August 1 security patches for Android

OnePlus does note that, because this is a community build, this update might have some bugs. Some of the known issues include mobile network stability problems in some regions, compatibility issues with select third-party apps, and language localization issues.

While there are some bugs with this build, it could be worth living with them if you’re a OnePlus X owner that’s eager for Marshmallow.
