Earlier today, AT&T announced the latest Android tablet to join their roster of devices: the new Trek 2 HD. The Trek 2 HD is the successor of the Trek HD, which was released back in 2015. And just like its predecessor, the Trek 2 HD is mid-specced budget tablet with features that make up for its price.

This tablet comes with an 8-inch display with 720p resolution, LTE connectivity, and runs on 1.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon processor. There's room for 16GB of native memory space plus a microSD card slot for expandable storage. Both cameras on the tablet are equipped with a 5-megapixel sensor. Thanks to its 4,600 mAh battery, the tablet is said to be able to last up to 10.5 hours of video playback.

Considering it's a tablet, the device is generally used for entertainment purposes. Apart from its large display size, the tablet has front-facing speakers that make for better media playback.

The Trek 2 HD tablet is available at AT&T unlocked for only $150. Or you may opt to get the tablet along with a 2-year contract for as little as $0.99 along with one of the monthly pricing options offered by the carrier. Monthly plans start from $7.50 a month.

According to AT&T, the Trek 2 HD will be available starting August 5th on both its stores and on its website.
