Just a few weeks after going on sale, the OnePlus 3 has started to receive its first major software update.
OnePlus has started pushing OxygenOS 3.2.0 to the OnePlus 3. The rollout is incremental, meaning that not everyone will get it at once, but OnePlus does anticipate that the update will hit all OnePlus 3 owners within the next 48 hours or so.
As for what’s included, there’s improvements to RAM management, GPS performance, and camera quality, as well as enhanced audio playback quality, the latest Google security patches, and updated custom icon packs. OnePlus has also included an sRGB screen mode that you can enable in the developer section of the OxygenOS settings.

This is a significant update for the OnePlus 3. OnePlus has been the target of some criticism lately because of the way that the OnePlus 3 uses its 6GB of RAM for running apps in the background, and while OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei previously touted the OP3’s RAM management for its battery and user experience benefits, OnePlus has made some tweaks to how the OnePlus 3 uses the pile of RAM inside of its metal body. Now we have to wait for the update to hit users’ devices to see how the new software performs.
