YouTube will now support 360-degree live streaming video, letting you watch an event unfold and feeling like you’re right there in the middle of it. YouTube plans to show off its new feature by live streaming select artists at Coachella this weekend.
To help add to the immersion of a 360-degree video, YouTube is also launching support for spatial audio for on-demand videos. This’ll let you listen to things just like you would in real life, with factors like distance and depth playing a role in the sound that you’re hearing. These new features are big updates for YouTube that’ll help viewers feel more like they’re actually in the location of an event.
