Samsung Pay is growing again, adding support for more banks to its mobile payment service.
Samsung Pay now supports eligible credit and debit cards from TD Bank and Regions Bank. With this additions, Samsung Pay supports cards from more than 130 banks and credit unions, which Samsung says is more than 75 percent of the US credit and debit card market.
If you’ve got a TD Bank or Regions Bank card and a Samsung Pay-compatible phone, you can fire up your Samsung Pay app and see if your card is eligible for the service.
One of the most important features of a mobile payment service is that it supports a wide variety of banks and cards, and so to help give Samsung Pay a shot at success, Samsung must continue to add support for more financial institutions. That’s exactly what it’s doing today, and in doing so, it’s giving more consumers the chance to give mobile payments a try.
