After launching at a price of $699 last year, the BlackBerry Priv is now getting a discount.
BlackBerry’s official online store is offering a $50 discount on the Priv, meaning that it’ll set buyers back $649. This is for the unlocked version of the Priv, which is compatible with GSM providers like AT&T and T-Mobile but not CDMA carriers like Verizon, Sprint, and US Cellular.
While the Priv is sold by AT&T and T-Mobile, buying directly from BlackBerry will save you some cash, as T-Mobile is asking $719.99 for the Priv and AT&T wants $739.99. Of course, buying from a carrier means you can use upgrade programs like JUMP! On Demand and AT&T Next, so if you’re thinking about getting a Priv, you’ll have to decide which is more important to you: saving some cash or using your carrier’s upgrade program.
