Fresh from garnering more than a dozen awards during the recent Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas, Nevada, Fitbit has revealed that it has managed to ship over one million units of its Fitbit Blaze smartwatch, one month after the wearable device officially launched in the market. Remarkably, the actual first month sales figures for the fitness-focused smartwatch has surpassed forecasted estimates set by Fitbit itself. On top of all this, the Fitbit Blaze smartwatch has become the best selling device in the smartwatch and heart monitor categories on Amazon in the last few weeks.
Apart from breaching the one million plateau, the Fitbit Blaze device also got mostly glowing reviews from over 1,200 customers on Amazon. As a matter of fact, 83 percent of the reviewers gave Fitbit’s wearable offering a 4- or 5-star rating.
Completing Fitbit’s double victory is the company’s announcement that it has also shipped a million units of its Fitbit Alta wristband. The Fitbit Alta fitness tracker hit store shelves in the United States last March 9, and has gone on to join the ranks of the top selling devices belonging to the fitness tracker and pedometer categories on Amazon in just a span of three weeks, with almost 78 percent of customer reviews giving the Fitbit Alta tracker a 4- or 5-star rating,
Available on Amazon for $199.95, the Fitbit Blaze is a smartwatch that comes with features like PurePulse, which consistently keeps track of the user’s heart rate, and SmartTrack, a functionality that automatically detects when a user is having a workout. The Fitbit Alta fitness tracker is priced at $129.95, and similarly comes with the SmartTrack feature.
