Huawei P9 clearly shown in new photo leak

Compared to most flagship smartphones, the Huawei P9 has appeared in relatively few leaks. It’s showing its face now, though, giving a peek at its front and back in some new photos.

Several images of what’s said to be a dummy model of the Huawei P9 have leaked out. The phone looks largely similar to the P9 that appeared earlier this month, offering a metal body, dual rear cameras, and a fingerprint reader on its backside, too. We also get a clear look at the bottom of the device, which is home to its headphone jack, speaker grille, and USB Type-C port.

In terms of raw specs, the Huawei P9 is expected to include a 5.2-inch 1920x1080 display, 3GB of RAM, octa-core Kirin 950 processor, 32GB of storage, a 3900mAh battery, and Android 6.0.1. Its rear camera setup is said to include two 12-megapixel sensors that’ll let you do things like change the focus of a photo after its been taken.

While there aren’t any specs on that list that scream “bleeding edge high-end,” if the P9’s rumored feature set holds true, it should offer solid performance for most folks. What will be most interesting is what kind of features Huawei comes up with for the P9’s dual rear camera setup. This won’t be Huawei’s first device with dual rear cameras, so perhaps they’ll have some new tricks to show off at their event on April 6.
