While Apple didn’t unveil a new Apple Watch during its event, the company did have two exciting announcements regarding the wearable.
The ability to switch the band on Apple Watch has been a big selling point for people who want to show off a bit of personality. With a third of Apple Watch users switching out their bands regularly, according to Apple, it’s no surprise that Apple would expand their lineup to include the new woven nylon band, which is a new style of band that show off some bright and exciting colors with “four-layer construction”. The woven nylon bands come in blue, pink, and orange. Additionally, Apple has added yellow, teal, and red leather Sport band options to its lineup. Both the Sport and woven nylon variants cost $49 each.
While Apple Watch is already the #1 smartwatch in the world for sales and customer satisfaction, the company also announced a price cut for the device so “more people can enjoy Apple Watch”. The new price of the Apple Watch is just $299, reduced from its $349 price point.
