Shortly after receiving an update with an improved camera app, the OnePlus 2 is now getting a fresh gallery app for storing and viewing images captured with that camera app.
OnePlus Gallery is the new gallery app for the OnePlus 2. OnePlus touts it as “a no-nonsense app” that doesn’t have any frills or ads. The app can automatically generate collections from your photos and also supports photo editing with tools like resize, crop, and a drawing feature that’ll let you doodle on your images.
The new OnePlus Gallery app is now available in Google Play, and it supports OnePlus 2 devices on OxygenOS v2.2.1. When it comes to support for other devices, OnePlus encourages us to “stay tuned.”
One other notable tidbit about the OnePlus Gallery app is that because it’s available in Google Play, OnePlus could update it more frequently than it might update apps that are built in to OxygenOS. That’s because it doesn’t need to wait for a full OxygenOS release to push an update to OnePlus Gallery. Instead, it can quickly push out updates with new features through Google Play.
