After making its official debut about one month ago, the Lumia 650 has quietly gone up for pre-order in the US and Canada.
The official Microsoft Store is now offering pre-orders of the Lumia 650 which is priced at $199 USD and $199 CAD. The phone is expected to begin shipping in both regions on April 1, and orders include free shipping.
As a refresher, the Lumia 650 is an entry-level Windows phone, packing a 4.97-inch 1280x720 display, quad-core Snapdragon 212 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a microSD slot, as well as 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras. It’s powered by a removable 2000mAh battery and Windows 10 Mobile software.
While the Lumia 650’s spec list may not be premium, its body is. The phone boasts a polished aluminum frame that helps to give it a more high-end look and feel.
The Lumia 650 seems meant to be an affordable device that businesses can deploy to their workers without spending a ton of money. Now that it’ll be sold in the Microsoft Store, though, any regular consumer that’s in the market for an affordable phone or just wants to check out Windows 10 Mobile on the cheap can pick one up, too.
