In the weeks and months following Google’s Android 6.0 launch, many device makers came out with statements revealing which of their phones would be updated to Marshmallow. Today ASUS has done the same for its customers.
ASUS says that 8 of its ZenFone and PadFone devices will receive updates to Android 6.0. The updates are expected to arrive in Q2 2016, so between April and June. When they do hit, users that perform a factory reset will get Google Messenger, Calendar, and Gmail as replacements for ASUS’s own built-in ASUS Messenger, ASUS Mail, and ASUS Calendar apps. If you really enjoy ASUS’s apps, though, they’ll still be available from Google Play.

While these updates are still at least a month or so out, it’s exciting for their owners to know that they’ll be upgrade to Google’s latest version of Android. Here’s to hoping that the updates arrive closer to the start of Q2 than the end of it.
