If you find yourself interested in AT&T’s buy one smartphone, get one free deal but you’re on another carrier, you’re in luck! AT&T now has a promo for folks switching from another operator.
Starting today, AT&T will give you up to $650 in credits to cover the costs associated with switching to AT&T from another carrier. To qualify, you’ll need to buy a new phone on AT&T Next, activate service, port your number from Sprint, T-Mobile, or Verizon, and trade in your current smartphone. You’ll also need to submit the final bill from your old carrier using this site.
Once you’ve followed all of those steps, AT&T will send you a Visa prepaid gift card worth up to $650 to cover your early termination fee or the final balance owed on your final bill, minus the value of your trade-in smartphone.
The other three major US carriers are offering similar switcher deals, so it’s not surprising to see AT&T getting in on the action as well. It’s good to see AT&T launching its own switcher offer so that folks interested in joining the big blue network can get their switching fees covered, just like they would if they were jumping to one of the other big carriers.
AT&T is also still running the aforementioned buy one smartphone, get one free deal that’ll cover the cost of select flagship smartphones after you buy one. You can find the details of that offer right here.
