Just as expected, the Sprint version of the HTC One M9 is getting its update to Android 6.0.
Sprint says that the Android 6.0 update for its version of the HTC One M9 started rolling out today, February 5, bumping the phone to version 3.41.651.3. Sprint doesn’t offer any other details on the update, but because the One M9 is getting Marshmallow, we do know that features like Doze battery saving and improved app permissions are included.
To check for the Android 6.0 update on your Sprint One M9, you can go into Settings > System updates > HTC software updates > CHECK NOW. Sprint does caution that updates are released in stages, though, so it may take a few days for your helping of Marshmallow to be served up.
While it may not bring any major UI changes or anything like that, Android 6.0 is still a notable update. Not only does it include new features, but it’s also the newest version of Android, and what Android user doesn’t want to be on Google’s freshest software?
