The next week or so is going to be a good one for HTC device owners on Sprint, because updates are expected for three different devices.
First up, the HTC One A9 on Sprint is getting its Android 6.0.1 update. It includes all of the spiffy new Android emoji as well as camera and battery life improvements, Wi-Fi Calling support, and some unspecified “system enhancements.” The update bumps the Sprint One A9 to 1.57.651.1, and if your device hasn’t gotten it already, you can go into Settings > System updates > HTC software update > Check now to see if it’s available.
Meanwhile, the Sprint version of the HTC One M8 is expected to start getting its Android 6.0 update tonight. That’s according to HTC’s Mo Versi, who says that both the regular Sprint One M8 and the Harman/Kardon One M8 will start getting Marshmallow over the air tonight.
Sprint HTC One M8 / M8 HK Owners! Great news, we have received technical approval on the Marshmallow OS update! OTA will start tonight! Thx!

Versi also says that the Sprint HTC One M9’s update to Android 6.0 is close, with a rollout targeted for next week. That’s not set in stone quite yet, but it’s good news for Sprint One M9 owners that are jealous of their One A9 and One M8-toting friends who are getting updates now.
@SithKnight2 looking at next week.

All three of these updates are worth getting excited about. One A9 owners are getting spiffy new emoji while the One M8 and One M9 users will get to check out new Marshmallow features like improved app permissions and Doze battery saving. It’s worth mentioning again that the One M9 update’s release isn’t yet set in stone, but once it is, we’ll be sure to let you know.
