After spending some time as an AT&T exclusive in the US, the BlackBerry Priv will soon begin making its way to other carriers. And today T-Mobile revealed how much its customers will pay to take home BlackBerry’s Android slider.
The BlackBerry Priv will hit T-Mobile on January 26. It’ll be available through JUMP! On Demand at a rate of $0 down ad 18 payments of $34 apiece, after which point you can trade the phone in an upgrade to another or pay off the Priv to keep it. The Priv’s full retail price is $719.99, so you’ll have to pay $107.99 to keep your Priv.
T-Mo will also sell the Priv through an equipment installment plan for $0 down and 24 payments of $30 each. If you buy this way, you’ll end up paying $720 and you’ll keep your Priv once all of the payments are made.
The BlackBerry Priv has been available through BlackBerry’s online store since early November, but the only way to buy it there is to pay the full $700 price. That’s why it’s nice to see the Priv making its way to other carriers, enabling folks that can’t or don’t want to pony up $700 at once to get their hands on the Priv, too.
In addition to launches on AT&T and T-Mobile, the BlackBerry Priv will be sold by Sprint and Verizon in the US. Neither of those carriers have announced launch or pricing details.
