BlackBerry Priv confirmed for Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon, will hit T-Mo this month

So far, the only ways that you can buy a BlackBerry Priv in the US is directly from BlackBerry or from AT&T. Pretty soon, though, it’ll be available much more widely.

BlackBerry has confirmed that the Priv will be sold by Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon in the US, in addition to AT&T. We already knew that the Priv was Verizon-bound, but the news of Sprint and T-Mo launches is new.

As for pricing and availability, T-Mobile CEO John Legere says that his carrier will start selling the BlackBerry Priv on January 26. There’s no word on when Sprint or Verizon will begin sales, and none of the three carriers has offered up any pricing details.

While BlackBerry has been selling its Priv ever since November, not everyone is able to pony up $699 for an unlocked smartphone. This expansion to Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon will make the Priv available on contracts and monthly payment plans, which means that the Priv will be within reach for many more folks. This is why getting the Priv on all four major US carriers is big for BlackBerry, a company that’s been struggling a bit lately and could use a big hit.

Now that the BlackBerry Priv has been confirmed for Sprint and T-Mo in addition to Verizon, will you be buying one?
