Motorola said that the Moto X (2nd Gen.) Pure Edition would get an update to Android 6.0, and today the company is following through.
The Moto X (2nd Gen.) Pure Edition is now getting its Android 6.0 update in the US. The update includes all of the Marshmallow treats that you’d expect, like Google Now on Tap, Doze battery improvements, granular app permissions, and more. The update weighs in at 884.4MB, so you’ll probably want to be on Wi-Fi when you download it.
The Moto X (2nd Gen.) Pure Edition may not be the freshest Android handset around, but it’s still getting Marshmallow before most other Android phones. That’s a testament to Motorola’s effort to update its handsets in a speedy manner, and I’m sure many folks are pleased to see the fast updates still coming after Lenovo’s acquisition of Moto.
