Google started pushing Android 6.0 updates to its Nexus devices in early October, but Nexus 6 customers on T-Mobile have had to wait a bit longer while their Marshmallow update got Wi-Fi calling and band 12 goodness baked in. Now the Marshmallow is finally ready for consumption.
Des Smith, T-Mobile Product Manager, has announced that the Android 6.0 update for Nexus 6 phones running on T-Mo is now ready to roll. The update will start arriving “soon,” says Smith, and it’ll be build MRA58X.

This T-Mobile-specific version of Android 6.0 for the Nexus 6 took some extra time because Google and T-Mo needed to bake in support for T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling and band 12 LTE. They also needed to ensure that the build they push to the public doesn’t have any major bugs. Now everything appears to be ready to go, so if you’re rocking a Nexus 6 on T-Mobile’s network, prepare yourself for some Marshmallow-y goodness.
