BlackBerry Vienna leak shows Android candybar with a keyboard

The BlackBerry Priv has only been in the hands of consumers for a few days now, but alleged images of BlackBerry’s next Android phone have allegedly leaked out.

CrackBerry has shared what it says are renders of the BlackBerry Vienna (likely a codename, just like the Venice was to the Priv), the next Android-powered phone from BlackBerry. Spec details on the device are light, but we can see that the Vienna ditches the slider form factor of the Priv in favor of a candybar phone with a large screen up top and a physical keyboard — complete with hardware Android OS navigation buttons — below.

This form factor is one that BlackBerry has used countless times in the past, most recently on the including on the BlackBerry Classic and Q10. That’s why it wouldn’t be a surprise to see BlackBerry try its hand at making an Android phone with a similar form factor. Not only does it have lots of experience making that time of phone, but the BlackBerry faithful are accustomed to the design, too.

What do you think of this leaked BlackBerry Vienna? Would you buy the Vienna if it came to market looking like this?
