Microsoft Lumia 950, Lumia 550 leaks give us more looks at the unannounced Windows phones

Microsoft’s new Lumia smartphones have been leaking left and right in recent months, and with less than one week to go before they’ll be fully revealed, the leaks show no signs of stopping.

Prominent leaker Evan Blass has posted an official-looking render of the Microsoft Lumia 950 in both black and white. The images show the camera, lock, and volume buttons on the side of the phone as well as its 20-megapixel PureView ZEISS camera with dual flash. Past leaks have also shown that the 950 will have a 5.2-inch 2560x1440 display, Snapdragon 808 processor, 32GB of storage, a microSD slot, 3GB of RAM, and a 3000mAh battery.

Shortly after posting the Lumia 950 image, Blass also shared some press renders of the Lumia 550. As you might expect from its name, the Lumia 550 is more of an entry-level phone. It’s said to have a 5-inch 1280x720 display, 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 8GB of storage, a microSD slot, 1GB of RAM, and a 1905mAh battery.

Along with the Lumia 950 XL, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 550 are the next additions to Microsoft’s Windows 10 Mobile family. The Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 950 are sure to garner the most attention because it’s been a year and a half since Microsoft last announced a Windows-based flagship smartphone, but the Lumia 550 looks like it’ll be a nice addition to the entry-level site of the Windows smartphone lineup.

Microsoft is holding an event on October 6, and it’s expected that we’ll see both the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL announced there, but it’s unclear if the Lumia 550 will appear on-stage, too. Thankfully, all will be revealed in just 5 days.
