Now that Android 6.0 is ready to roll out to Nexus phones, lots of owners of non-Nexus Android devices are probably wondering when they’ll get a taste of Marshmallow. Today HTC has shed some light on its Android 6.0 plans.
HTC has named several devices that are currently slated to get Android 6.0, including a heavy dose of One-branded models as well as a Butterfly and a few Desires. Here’s the full list of phones that’ll be updated:
- HTC One M9
- HTC One M8
- HTC One M9+
- HTC One E9+
- HTC One E9
- HTC One ME
- HTC One E8
- HTC One M8 EYE
- HTC Butterfly 3
- HTC Desire 826
- HTC Desire 820
- HTC Desire 816
It’s worth noting that HTC plans to begin pushing Android 6.0 to the One M9 and One M8 before the end of 2015. Carrier-branded models could end up taking longer than that, though, as updates for carrier phones typically end up taking a bit longer to launch because of the extra testing that they go through. However, if you’ve got one of the above-listed phones, at least you can now rest easy knowing that you’ll eventually get an Android 6.0 update.
