At this point, most every LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P detail has leaked save for one important tidbit: pricing. Now that information has leaked, too.
Reports from Android Police claim to have details on how much Google will ask for the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. The Nexus 5X will allegedly start at $379.99, while the Nexus 6P will start at $499.99. Those prices are likely for the 16GB and 32GB models, respectively. The Nexus 5X will also allegedly be available with 32GB of storage, while the Nexus 6P will be offered in 64GB and 128GB variants. No pricing details for the larger models have leaked.
There’s been a lot of interest about the pricing on Google’s new Nexus phones. The pricing for the past two Nexus models varied quite a bit — the Nexus 5 started at $349 and the Nexus 6 at $649 — so folks have wondered how Google would price its 2015 Nexus phones. According to this leak, El Goog will be leaning towards affordability. While a $499 Nexus 6P may not be as cheap as a $349 Nexus 5, the 6P’s price is still super-affordable considering its spec list.
One other tidbit that’s worth noting is that today’s leaks suggest that Google will begin taking pre-orders for both phones tomorrow, September 29. They’ll reportedly be available in the US, UK, Ireland, Canada, and Japan initially. It’s also said that the phones will only be available online, meaning you won’t be able to go to a carrier store for your Nexus fix this year.
