T-Mobile Simple Global will now give you free data in 20 more countries

T-Mobile spent the summer amping up its previous Un-carrier moves with things like JUMP! On Demand and a new family plan. Now the magenta carrier is beefing up Simple Global, its third Un-carrier move.

T-Mobile customers can now use unlimited data and text and also get $0.20 per minute calls in 20 new countries, bringing the total of Simple Global locales to 145. T-Mo touts that Simple Global now covers all of Europe and South America. Here are the 20 new countries in which Simple Global is supported:

  • Bahamas
  • Haiti
  • Monaco
  • Albania
  • Belarus
  • Bosnia
  • Liechtenstein
  • Macedonia
  • Montenegro
  • Serbia
  • Slovenia
  • Guernsey
  • Alderney
  • Jersey
  • Sark
  • Isle of Man (part of SIT)
  • Azerbaijan
  • Georgia
  • Kazakhstan
  • Kyrgyzstan

T-Mobile touts its Simple Global roaming feature as a way to keep you connected during international travel without any additional cost, while the other US carriers are focused on “overcharging consumers who just want to stay connected overseas.” And while Simple Global data will get you speeds of around 128kbps, that ought to be enough to let you check your messages, use maps, and more without having to worry about how much data you’re using.
