Alongside the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, Apple today took the wraps off of a new way to buy its new iPhones.
The iPhone Upgrade Program is like Apple’s version of the installment programs that the major US carriers have been hawking lately. When you sign up for the iPhone Upgrade Program, you’ll get an unlocked iPhone of your choice and then you’ll select the carrier that you want to use it on. You’ll then make 24 monthly payments for the device, which will look like this:
iPhone 6s
- 16GB: $32.41 per month
- 64GB: $36.58 per month
- 128GB: $40.75 per month
iPhone 6s Plus
- 16GB: $36.58 per month
- 64GB: $40.75 per month
- 128GB: $44.91 per month
Included with the iPhone Upgrade Program is AppleCare+, which covers screen damage, accidental drops, and liquid damage. AppleCare+ covers two incidents, so you’ll be able to take your broken in phone twice and get it repaired for a service fee.
One other perk of the iPhone Upgrade Program is that it lets you upgrade to a new iPhone each year.
