The Google Store is a one-stop shop for Google goodies, with Android phones and tablets, Android TV devices, Chromecast, accessories, and more all available on its digital shelves. Today the Google Store is expanding with a product that may not be totally new, but it does help to round out the Google Store’s lineup.
The NVIDIA SHIELD set-top box is now available from the Google Store. Both versions of the Android TV box are in stock, with a base model offering 16GB of storage for $199.99 and a step-up 500GB SHIELD Pro version. Both SHIELD boxes include the set-top box itself, a SHIELD controller, an HDMI cable, a USB to microUSB cable, and the power adapter.
In addition to the NVIDIA SHIELD itself, the Google Store is offering some accessories for the device. There’s a stand to prop the SHIELD up vertically for $29.99, a SHIELD remote for $49.99, and additional SHIELD controllers for $59.99 apiece.
The NVIDIA SHIELD has been available since May, and while it’s been sold from major retailers like Amazon and Best Buy, it’s still nice to see the Google Store carrying it as well. It gives shoppers another place to pick up a SHIELD, and if you’ve already got a SHIELD, you can buy some accessories for it while buying a new Nexus phone or Chromecast.
