Samsung may be prepping 18.4-inch Android tablet

Remember when Toshiba launched a 13-inch Android tablet and everyone thought that that was huge? Well according to a new report, Samsung may be getting ready to show us what a large tablet really looks like.

Sources tell SamMobile that Samsung is prepping a new Android tablet with an 18.4-inch LCD screen. The device, reportedly codenamed “Tahoe” and carrying the model number SM-T670, is said to include a display resolution of 1920x1080, 8-megapixel rear and 2.1-megapixel front cameras, 32GB of storage, and a microSD slot. The ginormous tablet is said to be powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7580 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 5700mAh battery.

And just in case you’re wondering exactly how large this 18.4-inch tablet will be, its body is said to measure 451.8mm wide, 275.8mm tall, and 11.9mm thick.

It’s unlikely that you’re going to be toting around an 18.4-inch tablet like you would a 7-inch or 10-inch device, so it’ll be interesting to see how Samsung markets this gigantic tablet and what kind of accessories it offers for the device (if it’s actually released, that is). Would you buy an 18.4-inch Android tablet?
