Google today introduced its latest Android One smartphone, and it’s one of the cheapest devices in the program yet.

The Infinix HOT 2 is coming to Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Egypt, and Morocco, marking the first time that Android One hardware has been available in those countries. The HOT 2 will launch in Nigeria today at a recommended price of ₦17,500, or around $88 USD.

The HOT 2 runs Android 5.1 on a 5-inch 1280x720 display, and it’s also got 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras. Inside the phone lives a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, dual SIM slots, 16GB of storage, a microSD slot, and a 2200mAh battery. When it comes to RAM, you can buy the HOT 2 with either 1GB or 2GB. The latter version is being sold by online retailer Jumia for ₦19,500, or around $98 USD, but the device is sold out as of this writing.

For its price, the Infinix HOT 2 looks like a solid option for people in the six African countries that it’ll be sold in. Not only does it have a clean design, but it’s got a respectable feature set and it runs an untouched version of Android that’ll be updated to Marshmallow at a later date.

Google today also announced a “streamlined version” of Google Search that not only works better on low RAM phones, but can cut data usage on the results page by up to 90 percent. Finally, Google is extending YouTube offline to Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, and Egypt in the coming months.
